The brief for this family home in Notting Hill was to convert the basement to provide both a guest bedroom and media room as well as much-needed storage space. The whole area was stripped bare, double doors dividing the two spaces were added, new wood flooring installed, windows and french-doors restored. Bespoke joinery was designed and installed. Paint colours were carefully considered to add warmth and interest whilst keeping a light and airy feel. A neat sofa-bed, additional seating, a playful wallpaper feature wall, furniture and accessories were installed to create a flexible yet stylish and comfortable space.
